I don't use a written recipe very often in my daily cooking. The recipes you find here are my versions of recipes that have been handed down from generation to generation. There are also recipes that I've found on cans, boxes and in magazines that I've changed to suit my family's tastes.

I hope you enjoy my recipes. I ask that you do not sell my recipes or call them your own (unless you've changed something in the recipes to make it your own). If you would like a recipe to go in a non-profit book for your church or other organization just shoot me an email and ask.

Freezing Ground Beef

Freeze ground beef in one pound portions. Most recipes call for increments of pounds. I use a quart freezer bag and flatten ground beef to fill all corners and get as much air out as I can. In a pinch... take out the packages and cut the meat into quarters (easily done after a slight thaw in the microwave... no need to totally thaw) and you have square quarter pound burgers.
